Student and Entrepreneur Work Exchange

On April 12th Net Impact coordinated the first of what we hope to be many more work days where students from Dominican visited Venture Greenhouse to help resident clients with some of their projects. The projects included boxing some of Skip to Renew’s best selling non-toxic lube (the innuendos never end – it really is for bike chains), and researching market information for Urban Algae, Trimtab Media and Pulpworks.

Students and clients commented on how this work exchange brings great potential for networking and the cross exchange of learning and ideas. The clients have ideas of how to better prepare for the next workday, and the students have also identified a great opportunity to bring the Librarians in for a quick training on how to make the best use of Dominican Library’s Databases for quality research.

Thank you to Dominican’s Net Impact team for coordinating this work day. Venture Greenhouse looks forward to the next one just as soon as the students can make it. Bring on the pizza, good energy and quality research.
