A Global Network of Creativity and Passion

The Venture Greenhouse may be a small green business accelerator, but we are plugged into a global network of insanely creative, high energy innovation junkies. I just had the pleasure of speaking and leading a workshop at Roundtable on Entrepreneurship Education (REE) Asia 2012.

To give you a taste of what entrepreneurship educators do when they get together:

...We invented strawberry-based culinary creations, using a mixture of real ingredients (like strawberries) and pretend ingredients (my group made ravioli shells out of construction paper).

...We played guessing games, with chocolate as a unifying theme.

...We listened to a band of virtuoso Thai musicians play Hotel California and I Will Survive on traditional instruments.

Whoever heard of a conference being fun? it renewed in me a desire to ensure the Venture Greenhouse is wildly creative, dynamic, productive and…yes…fun. Entrepreneurship is a lot of work, but it doesn’t have to be grueling. REE Asia 2012 also plugged us into a network of leading edge educators and researchers in the entrepreneurship space.

The Venture Greenhouse, a small accelerator in off-the-beaten-track Marin, is becoming a globally relevant environmental and social entrepreneurship resource. The more we push ourselves to that passionate edge of social innovation, the more relevant we will become.
